Christmas at Avenue Church
Christmas is a holy and sacred time in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the world. At Christmas, we experience ordinary moments turn into extraordinary ones as we encounter the presence of God. At Avenue Church, we love these moments filled with familiar carols, the sounds of bells, the smell of candles, and a deep sense of hope because God is shining a light in the darkness. We have several worship gatherings throughout this Advent and Christmas season to help you encounter God in extraordinary moments.
Blue Christmas Service | December 16th | 6:00 p.m.
Christmas is not “the most wonderful time of the year” for everybody. We recognized that many in our community of grieving, anxious, and filled with doubts. Our Blue Christmas service acknowledges these feelings while still focusing on Christ birth.
Christmas Eve Candlelight & Communion | December 23rd | 6:30 p.m.
We will be gathering on Saturday, December 23rd for an early Christmas Eve Service. This is a great opportunity for individuals and families who are traveling on Christmas Eve or hosting family and still want to worship at this sacred time. Bring a friend or two and join us!
Christmas Eve Candlelight & Communion | December 24th | 2:30, 4:30, 7:00, and 9:00 p.m.
Avenue Church will be filled with the excitement and anticipation of Christmas on December 24th! Join us at one of our four Christmas Eve services for familiar carols, an uplifting message, and the warmth of family and friends gathered in worship. Each service will conclude by receiving Holy Communion, lighting candles, and singing Silent Night. Bring a friend and join us on Christmas Eve!
Sunday After Christmas | December 28th | 10:00 a.m.
Join us at 10:00 a.m. on the Sunday after Christmas as we celebrate the birth of the Christ-child
Weekly Sunday Worship | 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.
Each Sunday, the people of Avenue Church gather at 9:00 a.m. (Traditional) and 10:30 a.m. (Contemporary) for worship. You are invited to come and join us for worship. There is no dress code and you don’t need to know religious jargon. Come with an open and hungry heart to encounter the Living God! Nursery Care is available at both services for children under 4. Sunday School is available at the 10:30 a.m. service for children 4-12.
